About Statesmen Youth

Statesmen Youth creates civic involvement opportunities to prepare the next generation of Christian leaders to stand for Biblical truth in the political sphere in obedience to the Great Commission.

We will help you connect with likeminded Idaho legislators and set up a personalized arrangement. You will be supported with a stipend for room and board and/or we may coordinate housing if needed. We will help train you in servant statesmanship, meeting for prayer and discussions throughout the session.

Your Possible Duties

• Tracking the workflow of statements of purpose, routing slips, bills, committee hearings, and speeches

• Assisting with newsletters to constituents

• Creating sorting algorithms for emails, and drafting targeted auto-replies

• Reading bills and briefing your legislator

• Coordinating with the Legislative Services Office

• Meeting with other legislators

Direction

Your internship will be directed by your individual legislator’s needs as well as your abilities and passions. We will support you in any of these with time-tested spreadsheet templates, targeted trainings, and meetings as needed. We are here to coordinate, but success depends on you.
